Community Info Hub -Register Now

WE WANT YOU TO BE PART OF…

Through the work HEART has been doing over the pandemic and beyond we learnt from our community that there was a real desire to be able to access up-to-date information, both about COVID and other services and resources available to them across the town. Secondly, but vitally, people wanted to be able to talk to someone in person.

We put our heads together and from September we have been commissioned by the NHS Primary Care Network to run a new pilot project – the Hastings Community Information Hub.

The Hub will be a welcoming and friendly space for people to drop in and find out about services and projects running in their community, have simple health care checks and support in living a healthy lifestyle, access to trained advisors and help getting online. Plus, all the up-to-date information about COVID and vaccinations.

One of the most crucial parts of the hub is the chance for people to have a chat with a friendly face and be pointed in the right direction to get the help, information or service they need. This could be with one of our trained Hub advisors or one of our great HEART Hub volunteers.

The hub will be opening in September in Hastings Town Hall, at the heart of the town centre and be open three full days a week from Thursday to Saturday.

As well as an area for people to sit and browse information like leaflets and flyers or talk to volunteers and advisors,  there are separate more private spaces available for organisations to use too, for example; One You East Sussex will be running a Health Check session, Citizens Advice will have a Warm Home Check advisor at The Hub for one session a week.

We are inviting organisations and projects across the town to get involved and be part of the hub. Whether you offer dance classes for people with learning disabilities, provide smoking cessation help or want to get people active in the great outdoors - we want you to get involved and we’ll help spread the word about the things you do.

This could be by providing promotional material and information about your service and/or to register your interest in using the space itself.

We would like to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to be part of this new Hastings resource so it is useful and relevant to all members of our community.
